At 201cm Power Forward Dominic Friend, the son of former Geelong West (VFA) footballer John Friend, grew up in Geelong. In mid 2006 Dominic accepted a college basketball scholarship at Nicholls State University, USA.
During his college career, Friend gained wonderful experience but is enjoying being back in Geelong.
